NEP Brain Integration Training Program

NEP療程簡介

The Brain Integrated Hearing Program (NEP) is an innovative program that combines Tomatis' hearing program, auditory analysis, brain gymnastics, Belgau's balance board and drawing therapy. Tomatis is a French otolaryngologist who is dedicated to training hearing loss and found that language learning begins in the fetus with the mother's voice and that human health begins with the ears.

Through professional hearing training and instruments, the treatment helps recipients repair the impact of trauma on hearing and improve hearing function, thereby improving the accuracy of receiving external information, comprehension and memory.

This treatment effectively reduces emotional stress, improves attention and reading ability, and increases self-confidence and openness to interpersonal relationships. It also increases the inner awareness of emotions, accelerates the progress of psychotherapy and the improvement of EQ. At the same time, it can help resolve childhood trauma, change behavioral patterns, allow individuals to realize their potential, and rebuild a positive attitude towards life.

Tomatis Listening Training

Tomatis hearing training is a 2-hour daily program designed to meet individual needs, consisting of four sets of filtered classical music. Studies have shown that this training can improve stress, emotional distress, attention, learning ability, language ability, social skills for autistic patients, stroke cognition, memory recovery and mood of pregnant mothers.

Balance board

Research shows that improving a child's coordination and balance skills can significantly improve a child's attention and learning skills (regardless of whether the child's vestibular system and muscle or joint proprioception are healthy). "Therapy using a sensory integration approach is the most common treatment (for children with sensory integration issues) and has been shown to be effective in over 80 studies."

This type of therapy provides children or adults with exercises that stimulate the vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile senses. This treatment approach has its roots in balance and sensory integration: "It has been shown to improve visual perception and reading skills in children with dyslexia."

Research based on Dr. Belgau's balance board, including bean bag tossing, has shown effects on balance, agility, and eye movement control, with effects on literacy, reading processes, and national literacy rates on standardized tests.

Brain Gym

Neurokinesiologist Jean Blaydes' research has proven the connection between exercise and learning. She found that exercise not only restores learned memories, but also enhances them. When you are under stress, the hippocampus in the brain stops functioning properly and weakens its connections with other parts of the brain.

When information cannot communicate with each other continuously, "learning barriers" will appear. A set of left and right brain exercises "Brain Gym" is designed according to needs to help establish connections between different neural circuits and improve learning by overcoming barriers under pressure.

Drawings

Drawings are a direct tool for expressing our subconscious mind. They can reflect a person's inner world, personality, behavior, values, and ideals. People are less defensive about drawings. When they draw, they unconsciously express their inner world. A few simple drawings can convey messages that are richer and more direct than thousands of words.

Moreover, in the process of drawing, people can further clarify their thoughts, make the intangible tangible, and make the abstract concrete. Therefore, the drawings drawn during NEP treatment can help people express their inner feelings, and reviewing drawings can help people better understand their subconscious processes.
